Editorial Services (VES) specializes in fiction, non-fiction
and creative non-fiction African-American literary works.
When we reminisce about literary geniuses such as Langston
Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, Richard Wright, Ralph Ellison,
Carter G. Woodson, Marcus Garvey, Toni Morrison, Alice
Walker, Maya Angelou, Marita Golden, Terry McMillan,
Bebe Moore Campbell and Eric Jerome Dickey, in an instant,
a plethora of emotions overcomes us. Each author has
contributed selflessly, unrelentingly and some even
defiantly to the greater causes of teaching us, uplifting
us, empowering us and tickling our fancies with the
sculpting of words and/or ideas that have had a profound
and lasting effect on our history and culture.

Editorial Services' mission is to continue to honor,
promote and preserve African-American voices within the
writing industry. VES understands the critical need to
cater to the stories that continue to expand the African-American
literary world. Our goal is to aid writers with the utmost
preparation of their manuscripts or projects for submission
to literary agents, publishing houses, writing contests,
self-publishing purposes, etc... We accomplish this goal
by focusing on all aspects of the editorial process for
your work of art. This includes in-depth analyses of structure,
plot, theme, voice (passive vs. active), characterization,
psychic distance, point-of-view, story development, clarity,
consistency, word choice, tone and other elements applicable
to the aforementioned genres that VES specializes in.
